WebDepends on how you approach both races. I think if you try to crush the marathon you're going to have a really hard time with the 50K. I do a marathon-ish distance training run in the weeks leading up to a 50k as preparation but I make sure it's far enough out to recover properly and while I do push the effort it's not an all out effort...at least not the whole time.
